Here's how you can use this site, and what you can expect to see here in the future:
First, Feel free to click through the navigation on the Left side of the page. There you'll find a summary of the Visioning Event, along with photos of the drawings and notes created, and even the "shift happens" video that you can watch online. This will give you a good understanding of how we began to Know our Roots, Appreciate our Present, and Grow our Future together as a community. That was just the beginning...
The CWS Visioning Team is currently going through all the information and feedback generated at the Visioning Event. The first step is to categorize the feedback from the event, in order to develop a strategy by which to develop the next CWS Long Range Plan (LRP). This will be an ongoing process, which will require continuing involvement from all aspects of the community.
Below you can see a timeline for the CWS Visioning Process Plan. This is our projected plan for the process of culling the feedback from the September Visiong Event, comparing it to the Last Long Range Plan (LLRP), forming new teams to investigate the areas of interest/concern in that feedback, and eventually developing a new Long Range Plan (LRP), all the while keeping the Faculty, Admin and other bodies up to speed on the process.
If you'd like to follow the week-to-week activity of the Visioning Team, click on the "Visioning Team" link to read the meeting minutes as they're posted every week.
In the future, we will be asking for continued input from all of you. This is an ongoing process, and your involvement doesn't end with the meeting in September. At the end of the event, you most likely signed up in at least a couple of areas of interest. As action teams are formed (in the next few weeks) you'll most likely be getting a call to join one of those teams, and continue to participate in the development of areas that most interest you.
We will also be using this site, along with the standard forms of CWS communication (InReach, class meetings, etc) to solicit opinions and information from the community at large through surveys, questioneers, etc.
Our goal with this site is to involve you in the process. This is not a "hidden" process--it's your process. So please, make use of this site, and watch your email inbox in the future for ways to stay involved.
